A five year initiative to support the growth of girls’ and women’s baseball throughout the United States and Internationally.
“That’s A Girl’s” holistic approach is meeting awareness with action. It is through community and connection that we will plant seeds of growth.
-
Thanks to other trailblazing organizations we now realize “if we build it, they will come”. Girls CAN and DO play baseball. With over 100,000 girls playing youth baseball in the United States it’s time to address the need to support this ever growing community by working together toward our common goal- More all girl baseball teams, tournaments and opportunities
-
Often a lack of support will push a girl to play another sport or quit baseball all together. Feeling as though a player is “aging out” after Little League or not socially connecting on all boy teams once middle school starts, are only some of the obstacles a girl faces trying to stay committed to baseball.
T.A.G. wants that to change. Developing a support system for individuals to bring more ‘all girl’ baseball to their communities and schools is the goal.
-
“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go further, go together”
We are stronger when we unite. “That’s A Girl” believes in uniting all members of the girls’ and women’s baseball community. Whether you played baseball 20 years ago, play now, coach, umpire or just believe that girls belong in baseball- you are in the right place. Through our Big Sister Mentor program we are building strength as a family.
The Future
Girls’ baseball is continuing to see an increased number of players. That’s A Girl (T.A.G.) is here to cultivate strength within the girls’ and women’s baseball community. Through combined efforts, our mission is to continue growing these numbers over the next five years by providing more opportunities for all girl baseball clinics, workshops, camps, tournaments and mentor programs.
This initiative grew from a young girl’s passion into the organization it is today. Its roots have been nourished with love and dedication.
The time to flourish is now.
